INSIDE the hideaway
The original wood paneling on the upper level makes for cozy and rustic ADK vibe.
We’ve gathered our favorite vintage to keep the spirit of Lake Placid through the years. Fully updated kitchen, two completed renovated bathrooms with shower, and washer + dryer on site for ease.
Two bedrooms upstairs (one queen size bed, two twin beds), and one downstairs (queen size bed) sleeps six comfortably.
Enjoy our record player, Smart tvs, vintage library and Great Game Room: Air hockey table, dart board, oversized Scrabble board. Kitchen includes dining table, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, coffee maker and tea pot.

OUTSIDE the hideaway
The high peaks hideaway is set on 1.6 acres of wooded property, located on Old Military Road. Our horseshoe driveway makes for ease getting on and off the property. It’s wide enough to fit two cars, side by side, with a carport, and side of the house parking. It’s got enough room to comfortably fit everyone’s cars.
There is a large iron firepit with four Adirondack chairs on the front lawn. The lawn is a great: it’s a great space to make snowmen in winter or go sledding, and lay in the hammock in summer.
The dogs next door - Rudy and Sugar - come by from time to time, and are our favorite neighbors.
The deck is accessible for outdoor dining, and grilling in warm weather.
Our windows offer views of the mountains and a peek at Whiteface.
From mid-October through mid-April, the weather can be unpredictable, and snow can pop up unexpectedly. Thus, some of the outdoor amenities at the property may snow covered or not available, including outdoor grills, lawn furniture, hammock and outdoor seating.
